Here at the Irish College of TCM in Dublin we send Seasons Greetings at mid-winter, to our Staff, Students, Friends and Colleagues in TCM – in Ireland and across the world
From Chinese Medical theory we know that mid-winter is a time when we should be conserving and restoring ourselves. We should be preserving our Vital Substances and making sure that we do not exhaust our Qi and Jing.
In many countries in the world the time around the Winter Solstice is also a time for feasting and rejoicing and we wish you all a Happy and Joyous Christmas with festive cheer. To maintain a good Yin Yang balance, we hope that you are able to combine this, or alternated it, with a recouperative time of quietness, peace and repose.
We also wish you all a Happy New Year 2026 and hope it will be a time for good health and harmony across the world.
