Qigong for Health August 2025

New Qigong Workshop dates are now available

Here, at the ICTCM in Dublin 3, we have been running Health-promoting Qigong workshops since the early 2000s and many people have enjoyed and benefited from taking part in learning some simple but effective Qigong methods for improving their own health and well-being. New Qigong for Health workshop dates are now available for August 2025.

The next one day Introduction to Qigong for Health day will be held on: Sunday 3 August 2025 from 10.30 to 4.30.

The follow-up day will be held on: Bank Holiday Monday 4 August 2025 from 10.30 to 4.30.

You can book for just the Introductory day, or for both days. If you have recently attended an Introductory Qigong day you can book just for the Follow-up day. As the class on Monday builds on the content taught in the Introductory day you cannot attend this teaching session unless you have already done the Introductory Workshop.

Why Do People Attend a Qigong for Health Workshop?

The simple answer is – to do something to improve their own health and well-being.

Students learn a series of simple exercises, some that involve gentle movement and others that help to reduce stress, depression and anxiety by training the mind, as well as the body.

These one day or weekend courses are suitable for all adults, including those who are

  • physically fit and in prime health
  • generally healthy but under stress
  • hoping and wishing to improve their health, fitness and mental/emotional well-being.
  • advised by their TCM Acupuncturist to take up some Qigong practice to enhance or support the effect of the treatment
  • recuperating from illness

No prior knowledge of Qigong, Chinese Medicine, Fitness Exercise, Martial Arts or meditation is required. The exercises are not physically demanding so even slightly older or weaker people are more than welcome to attend. Everyone can gain benefit from Qigong practice and can progress to a stage that is suitable for them.

To find out more about the Qigong that we teach at the Irish College of Traditional Chinese Medicine you should look at our Qigong page.

How to Make a Booking

The updated Booking Form is now available.

Follow the link and make a request for a place. You will be asked a few simple questions and you should submit your application to the Admissions officer who will then let you know if you have been successful in getting a place. Sometimes the workshops fill up very quickly so, if demand is high it may be possible, staff avilability permitting, to arrange additional dates later in the year.

Once we reserve a place for you we will send you details of how and when to pay.
