Since 1983, the ICTCM has specialised in teaching Acupuncture as part of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), and is dedicated to imparting its Chinese Medicine knowledge and skills to undergraduate level students and TCM practitioners. We have been “Training TCM Professionals since 1983”.
If you wish to get a basic understanding of Chinese Medicine and its various branches, including Acupuncture TCM, Chinese Herbal Medicine and Medical Qigong or wish to find out what type of Acupuncture we teach, this is explored in this section. A clear distinction is drawn between Acupuncture as taught and practised as part of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and other types of “Acupuncture.”
You will be able to review the scope and range of TCM, and see what it treats and what it strives to achieve. The different Clinical options within TCM (the Branches of TCM) are also described in some detail.
If you are already familiar with Traditional Chinese Medicine and wish to explore our undergraduate-level course information we suggest you go directly to the section on Acupuncture TCM training.
Otherwise go to the next page to find out what TCM is.
